Mercedes-AMG C43 4MATIC Now Locally-Assembled In Pekan, Pahang
The CKD Mercedes-AMG C43 4MATIC arrives with a price tag of RM443,888.
Mercedes-Benz Malaysia today launched 3 locally-assembled models from their Mercedes-AMG performance sub-brand – the C43 4MATIC, A35 4MATIC and GLA35 4MATIC. The Mercedes-AMG C43 4MATIC is of particular interest here because it’s the only one of the three built on the MRA2 platform.

The Mercedes-AMG C 43 4MATIC features an innovative AMG 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine with an electric exhaust gas turbocharger, a technology derived from Formula 1 racing. This turbocharging system ensures responsive performance across the rev range while improving efficiency.
The engine delivers 408 hp at 6750 rpm and 500 Nm of torque at 5000 rpm. A belt-driven starter generator provides an additional 14 hp boost and supports mild hybrid functions for efficiency. Performance-wise, the AMG C 43 4MATIC accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 4.6 seconds, with a top speed of 250 km/h. It features an AMG sports braking system with ventilated and perforated discs.
The AMG exhaust system offers adjustable sound levels based on the selected drive program. Exterior AMG-specific details include a distinctive radiator grille, front apron with flics, side sill panels, diffuser-look rear apron, and twin-tailpipe trim elements.
The car’s sporty driving experience is enhanced by rear axle steering, AMG Performance 4MATIC all-wheel drive with rear-biased torque distribution, AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 9G transmission with wet start-off clutch, and DYNAMIC BODY CONTROL suspension with Adaptive Damping System.
Key equipment includes 19-inch AMG light-alloy wheels, the latest MBUX infotainment system, AMG-specific displays, seats, and a Nappa leather Performance steering wheel with AMG buttons.
Inside, the car boasts AMG seats with ARTICO/MICROCUT upholstery, red contrasting stitching, and red seat belts. The instrument panel and beltlines are finished in ARTICO with red topstitching.
The MBUX infotainment system features a 12.3-inch driver display and 11.9-inch central display, offering AMG-specific functions and displays. AMG TRACK PACE, a data logger for track use, is integrated into the system.
Safety features include the Driving Assistance Package Plus with Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC, Active Parking Assist, and Active Lane Keeping Assist. The car also comes with a Parking Package with 360-degree camera and GUARD 360° Vehicle protection.
