Mercedes-AMG GT 63 4MATIC+ APXGP Edition is an ode to the upcoming F1 movie.
Mercedes-AMG has revealed an exclusive special edition of its high-performance GT 63 4MATIC+ ahead of the summer 2025 release of the highly anticipated F1 movie starring Brad Pitt and Damson Idris. The “APXGP Edition” celebrates Mercedes-AMG’s partnership with Apple Original Films and Warner Bros. Pictures as an official promotional partner for the film.
Limited Edition Inspired by Hollywood Racing Drama
The “APXGP Edition” is strictly limited to just 52 vehicles worldwide, featuring a distinctive design inspired by the movie’s fictional APXGP Formula 1 team. The special model showcases painstakingly hand-applied race gold accents on the radiator grille frame, front wings with chequered-flag design, side skirts, rear apron, and diffuser blade.
The vehicle’s 21-inch cross-spoke AMG forged wheels are finished in matte race gold, contrasting with black brake calipers of the standard AMG ceramic high-performance composite brake system. The AMG Exterior Carbon Fibre package further emphasizes its motorsport DNA.
Performance-Focused Engineering
Powered by the AMG 4.0-liter V8 biturbo engine delivering 585 hp, the GT 63 combines dynamic driving characteristics with everyday practicality. The model features cutting-edge technology including AMG ACTIVE RIDE CONTROL suspension with semi-active roll stabilization, rear-axle steering, active aerodynamics, and fully variable AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive.
Luxury Interior with Racing Elements
Inside, the APXGP Edition continues the racing theme with black Nappa leather/MICROCUT microfiber AMG Performance seats featuring gold-colored topstitching. Carbon fiber trim elements with gold threads complement the heated AMG Performance steering wheel. Door sill trims with AMG lettering are anodized in black and illuminated in gold, while floor mats feature the embroidered “APXGP” logo.
Film Partnership Highlights
The F1 movie, filmed during actual Formula 1 race weekends, follows Brad Pitt as a former driver returning to the sport alongside teammate Damson Idris. Mercedes-AMG supported the production by providing F1 team expertise and vehicles including the SL, G-class, GT, and the official FIA F1 Safety and Medical Cars.
