TAWAU: A mercury spill incident was reported at Sabah Chinese School here at 11.38am on Thursday following the breakage of a thermometer in the school's science lab.
A team of six firefighters from BBP Tawau arrived at the scene within 10 minutes, and no casualties were reported.
The Hazmat unit decontaminated the area using sulphur powder and declared the site safe, concluding the operation at 12.27pm.
