Mercy flight brings cop’s remains home

SANDAKAN: The Air Operations Force (PGU) Sabah Base carried out a mercy flight (Bodevac) to transport the remains of the late Sgt Johnson Bai back to his hometown in Tamparuli.

The operation was conducted using a Textron 208 (9M-PSQ) aircraft belonging to the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), which departed from Sandakan Airport and landed at the PGU Sabah Base.

The deceased was then taken to Kampung Topokon, Tamparuli, Tuaran for burial.

Accompanying the remains were the widow, Nelly @ Welhelmina Juanin, as well as escorting officers and personnel from the Marine Police Force (PPM) Sandakan.

The late Johnson previously served in the Engineering Division of the Marine Police Force (PPM) Region 4 Sabah, Sandakan.

Meanwhile, Sabah PGU Base Commander, ACP Ras Nazrin Shah Abdullah, on behalf of all personnel, extended condolences to the family of the late Johnson on his passing.
