Tenom: The Kembara Merdeka Jalur Gemilang (KMJG) 2024 in Sabah, which entered its sixth day Tuesday, made its way to Pangi, to enhance the celebration of National Day, Sabah Day and Malaysia Day among the people in the interior.

Pangi, located about 130km from Kota Kinabalu and home to approximately 300 residents, predominantly from the Murut tribe, is accessible only by train, due to the lack of road infrastructure.

Tenom Member of Parliament Riduan Rubin joined the KMJG convoy, which began at Tenom Railway Station and travelled for 30 minutes to reach Pangi Station. The convoy was warmly received by the local residents.

Riduan, along with 60 convoy members, engaged with the community, conveying messages of patriotism and distributing Jalur Gemilang and Sabah flags.
