
Kota Kinabalu: The Istana Seri Kinabalu (ISK) was chosen as the first stopover for the 2023 Merdeka Jalur Gemilang (KMJG) convoy.
Led by Sabah Information Deputy Director Supian Musa, the convoy arrived at the Istana at 10am and was greeted by the Private Secretary to Sabah Head of State (TYT) Datuk Abinan Asli, ISK Manager Datu Adek Datu Sani and TYT’s escort Colonel Herman Bambang.
After signing the KMJG Convoy Tour Book, Supian handed over the Jalur Gemilang to Abinan as a symbol of the involvement and support from the highest institution in the State-level Jalur Gemilang Flying Campaign.
Abinan then completed the release of a convoy consisting of 15 vehicles from various agencies and ministries to continue their journey to SMK Bandaraya, near Inanam, after it was officially released by Deputy Chief Minister II Datuk Seri Panglima Dr Joachim Gunsalam, representing the Chief Minister, at the Kota Kinabalu City Hall grounds.
