This is the moment the Metropolitan Police Commissioner snatches a journalist’s microphone cover as he is quizzed over the police’s response to riots across the UK.

Footage from Sky News captures Sir Mark Rowley leaving the cabinet office in Westminster on Monday (5 August), where he is greeted by journalists and photographers.

Sir Mark is asked by one reporter: “Are we going to leave the two-tier policing, sir?”

He is then seen to grab the microphone and walk off across the road.
