- Metropolitan Police Sergeant Sadiq Al-Hasani has been charged with perverting the course of justice following a BBC Panorama investigation into Charing Cross police station.
- The 37-year-old officer allegedly attempted to obstruct the inquiry by stopping a junior colleague from giving a statement to the Independent Office for Police Conduct.
- The undercover documentary revealed officers making racist comments and bragging about using violence against suspects.
- So far, 15 officers from Charing Cross have been found to have committed gross misconduct, with all except one barred from policing.
- Sergeant Al-Hasani is set to appear at Westminster Magistrates Court, while a further 15 officers and staff remain under investigation.
