MetMalaysia issues storm warning across Negeri Sembilan, Pahang, Sarawak and Sabah until 4pm

KUALA LUMPUR, April 5 — The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning of thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds affecting five states until 4pm today.

MetMalaysia, in a statement, said the affected areas in Pahang are Bentong and Rompin, while in Negeri Sembilan, they include Jelebu and Kuala Pilah.

A similar weather warning has also been issued for Sarawak, involving Kuching (Bau and Kuching), Serian (Serian), Samarahan (Samarahan and Simunjan), Sri Aman (Sri Aman), Sarikei (Julau and Meradong), Sibu, Mukah, Kapit (Song, Kapit and Bukit Mabong) and Bintulu (Tatau).

In Sabah, the areas expected to be affected are Tawau (Tawau and Lahad Datu) and Sandakan (Kinabatangan). — Bernama
