MetMalaysia warns of hazy conditions in Sabah from Saturday

Kota Kinabalu: Hazy conditions are expected to affect Sabah from Saturday (Aug 29) due to westerly winds and a high number of hotspots in southern Sumatra and western Kalimantan, according to the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia).

In a statement, MetMalaysia director-general Mohd Hisham Mohd Anip said several parts of the country are at risk of reduced visibility between Aug 27 and 31, with haze in Sabah forecast to begin on Saturday.

MetMalaysia said it is continuously monitoring the situation and will update its forecasts according to changing weather and atmospheric conditions.
