MG Motor Malaysia has announced a significant price revision for the MGS5 EV starting immediately, lowering the entry price to RM107,900.
SAIC Motor Malaysia announced the revised pricing on October 27, 2025 , reinforcing its commitment to delivering high-quality, high-value electric vehicles and strengthening its position ahead of upcoming localization plans.
Revised MGS5 EV Pricing
The new price structure for the MGS5 EV variants is as follows:

All variants are powered by a Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) configuration, currently the only one in its segment. Both COM and LUX variants deliver a solid 170 PS and 250 Nm of torque through the rear wheels.

The MGS5 EV is built on an ultra-thin Horizontal Battery Layout, which maximizes interior space while maintaining a low center of gravity, setting a new benchmark in its segment. The advanced adaptive pressure control system minimizes battery cell expansion, enhancing both safety and battery longevity.
The top-tier LUX Long Range variant enhances the experience with premium features including:

All MGS5 EV variants come standard with V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) functionality, a 12.8-inch central infotainment touchscreen with voice command, and MG’s iSMART connectivity system. All variants also come equipped with 7kW AC charging capabilities.
The Ultimate Ownership Package
To deliver “Greater Value Through the Ultimate Ownership Experience”, all MGS5 EV variants include the Ultimate Ownership Package, offering savings of up to RM10,000. This package includes a complimentary 7kW AC wallbox charger or the option to select charging credits. Customers seeking flexible payment solutions can also explore the MG Ultimate Financing Package through authorized dealers.
