Throughout life's journey, we are always in pursuit of a better life, higher returns, and faster success. I am no exception. There was a time when my understanding of investment was merely focused on numbers and returns. I believed that as long as I found the right method and opportunity, I could effortlessly achieve financial freedom. Thus, I embarked on the journey of exploring investments, attempting to find that "secret weapon" which would yield high returns rapidly. Every time I heard someone share their success story, my heart would race, hoping I could achieve the same. However, I didn't realize the hidden risks and pitfalls waiting for newcomers like me.
Just like many others, I once dreamed of becoming a millionaire overnight through some "mysterious" investment strategy. I still remember that "investment plan" called "midasama". At first, it sounded like a golden key to unlock the doors of wealth. They promised returns on forex investments, a stable interest of 2-3% every month, making me feel as if I had found the golden rule of investing. And when such returns consistently lasted for an entire year, I had complete faith in them.
However, good times didn't last long. One day, when I logged into my account, I was dumbfounded—the balance had turned negative! I began to panic, asking around, trying to figure out what had happened. The company responded, "Your account was hacked, but rest assured, we will help you recover the losses." At that moment, I still held onto a glimmer of hope. But as days turned into months with no resolution in sight, that so-called "hope" began to fade. When I realized I might have been scammed, the feelings of loss and self-blame were overwhelming.
After this lesson, I realized that genuine investment is much like planting a tree; it cannot be rushed. I've made mistakes and taken detours, but it's precisely because of these experiences that I understood the true nature of investment requires patience, akin to a marathon mindset.
