Middlesbrough coach Aaron Danks could be set for a surprise move to Germany this summer.

Danks is said to be wanted by Vincent Kompany to join his Bayern Munich backroom staff.

Per The Mail, he has been in talks with the former Manchester City defender about joining him in Bavaria.

Danks worked with Kompany in the past as his assistant coach at Anderlecht.

However, the two did not continue their relationship when Kompany went to Burnley.

The Belgian former defender will have to prove a lot to Bayern supporters after he was the surprise choice to replace Thomas Tuchel.
