Middlesbrough have granted Djed Spence extra time off amid sale talks with Tottenham.
ESPN says Spurs have long since made the England Under-21 international their top target to upgrade upon the likes of Emerson Royal and Matt Doherty at the right wing-back position.
However, talks have been dragging on with Tottenham reluctant to agree to a deal worth £15m plus substantial add-ons.
Spence has now been given an extra week of holiday by Boro as transfer negotiations continue.
