Two men thought to be migrants have arrived in the UK after rowing a tiny dinghy across the Channel.
Pictures show the boat arriving at the Border Security Command compound in Dover, Kent on Saturday.
The men are understood to have been rescued by the RNLI during their rowing attempt.
The English Channel is one of the busiest shipping lanes in the world and is known for its strong currents.
An HM Coastguard spokesperson said: “HM Coastguard has been responding to reports of a small boat in the channel with two people onboard.
“First informed at around 12pm, Border Force vessels and an RNLI lifeboat were sent to assist. Both people have been rescued.”
Their attempt comes two days after a record 165 migrants crossed in a single boat dubbed a “mega dinghy”.
It was estimated to be around 13m (42ft) long – the same as a standard bus.
Border Security Command was pictured towing the boat when it arrived in Dover on Thursday afternoon.
Home Office figures show 103 people arrived after crossing in two boats on Friday.
Some 13,110 arrivals have been recorded this year.
