Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta praised the team’s fans for helping get the goal needed in their win against Porto yesterday (12 March).
The Gunners won 1-0 in penalities and are now through to the Champions League quarter-finals for the first time in 14 years, marking the end of their last-16 curse.
In the post-match press conference, Arteta beamed as he said that he has never experienced an atmosphere like it in the Emirates Stadium.
He said: “They brought their brains. They were so smart, the way they did it and the way they helped us, and huge thank you.”
