Mindanao, Visayas to have scattered rains — Pagasa

MANILA, Philippines —  Zamboanga Peninsula, BARMM (Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao), South Cotabato, Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat, Sarangani and General Santos and Davao Region will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the intertropical convergence zone, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.

Weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio said Luzon, including Metro Manila, will have fair weather except for isolated downpours in the afternoon or at night.

Aurelio said localized thunderstorms are likely in the National Capital Region and the rest of Luzon where cloudy skies with isolated downpours or thunderstorms are expected.

Metro Manila’s heat index could reach up to 42 degrees Celsius. The highest could be felt in Palawan and Occidental Mindoro provinces at 45 degrees Celsius.
