Kota Kinabalu: Sabah Umno Chief Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin accused the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) government of allegedly attempting to defame Umno State Assembly members.
He expressed disappointment and regret after reading a Malaysiakini report that exposed the alleged attempt.
AdvertisementBung Moktar, who is also Lamag Assemblyman, described such action as immoral and disgraceful, claiming that those involved were willing to fabricate a script solely to protect their positions in the Government.
“I demand an explanation from one GRS assemblyman, who was mentioned in the report, regarding allegations that he was involved in preparing the script to link Umno assemblymen to this issue,” he said in a statement, Monday.

He urged the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) to take immediate action and bring all involved to justice without compromise.
