Kota Kinabalu: Tourism, Culture and Environment Minister Datuk Jafry Ariffin visited local souvenir and craft centre Kadaiku at its new location in Api-Api Centre here on Tuesday.
The retail outlet, which recently relocated from Sinsuran, is owned and managed by Sabah Tourism Board subsidiary Sri Pelancongan Sabah Sdn Bhd (SPS).
Welcomed by SPS chief executive officer Hady Syam and Kadaiku manager Faizal Jaini, Jafry received a briefing on operations and the store's role in showcasing authentic Sabah-made goods.
Jafry noted that local handicrafts and products play a vital role in the Sabah tourism experience by connecting visitors directly to the state's culture, creativity, and identity.
Hady said SPS remains committed to strengthening Kadaiku as a commercial bridge for local entrepreneurs and artisans to access wider markets ahead of Visit Sabah Year 2027.
