PETALING JAYA: The education ministry will consider the National Union of Teaching Profession’s (NUTP) call to release the results of the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examination earlier than May 27.

Deputy education minister Wong Kah Woh said the ministry would consider NUTP’s proposal for SPM results to be announced on May 23, in view of the upcoming school holidays.

He said this would be thoroughly discussed with stakeholders before a decision is made, Bernama reported.

“The ministry will consider the views of all sectors. Give us some time to make a decision or issue a media statement on the matter,” he was quoted as saying.
