Minix is stepping up its game in the workstation space once again through the new Elite ER939-AI, a mini powerhouse built for creators, developers, and professionals dealing with AI-heavy workloads.
It is done through the power of the AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor, featuring 16 cores and 32 threads that can boost up to 5.1 GHz. It also integrates advanced AI acceleration, delivering up to 50 TOPS of NPU performance and 126 TOPS of total AI compute power.
Memory config is also an important factor to host things like large datasets and project files, therefore this little system can hold as much as 128 GB of LPDDR5-8000 memory and expand storage up to 8 TB via dual M.2 NVMe slots.
Connectivity is just as modern as its internals, with WiFi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and dual 2.5 GbE Ethernet ports for speedy, stable connections, and USB-C 4.0 ports for ultra-fast data transfers and multi-monitor setups, perfect for multitasking pros.
Even with all that performance, MINIX managed to keep the system’s size down to 205 × 192 × 70 mm. Meanwhile, cooling is handled by a triple-fan system, and users can switch between power modes of 55W, 85W, or 120W for a more flexible deployment. There’s also a built-in fingerprint sensor for secure, quick logins, which adds a nice professional touch.
Pricing hasn’t been announced yet, but Minix says details will come soon. Given its specs and design, the Elite ER939-AI clearly aims to compete at the premium end of the mini-PC market, offering workstation-class performance in a form factor that fits almost anywhere.
