Kota Kinabalu: The Dewan Rakyat today observed a minute of silence in memory of Tan Sri Joseph Kurup and Datuk Mutang Tagal.

Speaker Tan Sri Johari Abdul invited all to stand to pay respect to the late veteran politicians at the beginning of the sitting.

“[Tan Sri Joseph Kurup] was the former Pensiangan MP and had been a member of the federal administration in several ministries,” Johari said.

“He is the father of the present Pensiagan YB.”
