COMPLAINTS over online health advertisements and promotions that may breach regulations and mislead the public will be referred to the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) for review and further action.
Communications Minister Datuk Seri Fahmi Fadzil said the issue was among matters raised during his meeting with representatives of medical associations and healthcare experts in Kuala Lumpur today.
“The matter will be referred to MCMC for review and further action with the relevant parties,” he said in a Facebook post.
Fahmi said the meeting was held to hear directly the views, suggestions and concerns raised by representatives from the medical associations and medical experts.
“Thank you for the open and constructive sharing. The views of those on the ground are important for us to understand the actual problems and find more effective solutions,” he said. - September 20, 2026
