KOTA KINABALU: A 77-year-old man who had been missing for three days was found dead at the bottom of a ravine in Kampung Tombongon, Manggatal, on Monday.

A rescue team from the Lintas Fire and Rescue Station was deployed to the site, 26 kilometres from the city centre, following a distress call at 1.20pm.

AdvertisementVillagers reportedly discovered the elderly man unconscious in the ravine before notifying authorities, prompting the rescue team to use rope systems to retrieve the body from the difficult terrain.

Medical personnel from the Ministry of Health confirmed the man had died at the scene, and his body was handed over to the police for further investigation.
