KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 15 — Two 16-year-old MRSM Alor Gajah students who went missing for three days have been reunited with their families.

Kuala Lumpur police chief Datuk Fadil Marsus said the two teenagers were found at about 10.30pm yesterday at Central Market here — nearly 140km away from the Melaka school campus.

“The cause and circumstances surrounding the incident are still under police investigation,” he was quoted by Berita Harian as saying today.

The students, Siti Nur Aaira Aidi and Nur Aisy Humaira Mohd Saad, were reported missing after a teacher lodged a police report at 10.46pm on August 11.

Fadil said the two had previously sought treatment at a health clinic in Alor Gajah after feeling unwell.

“They were taken to Hospital Kuala Lumpur after being found for further medical examination before being handed back to their families,” he added.

MARA chairman Datuk Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki took to Facebook yesterday appealing for public assistance to pray for the safe return of the two students, later reporting that the girls had been found by police.
