Missing woman Vitoria Figueiredo-Barreto boards bus before disappearance

Police are searching for missing Brazilian woman Vitoria Figueiredo-Barreto, who was last seen on a bus in Brightlingsea on March 3.

The 30-year-old was last seen after getting off the number 87 bus at Bellfield Avenue, and later appeared in doorbell footage in the Hurst Green area.

She was staying in the Southend area but was last seen at the University of Essex campus in Wivenhoe on Tuesday (3 March).

Ms Figueiredo-Barreto was wearing a dark coat, blue turtleneck jumper, light blue jeans, and black trainers. She was carrying a white shoulder bag with the words “people over profit”.

A bag matching hers has since been found near Copperas Road.

Essex Police have asked nearby residents to check their CCTV or doorbell cameras.

Anyone with information has been asked to call 999, quoting incident 622 of 4 March.
