Kota Kinabalu: The long-awaited flood mitigation project for the Sodomon river in Kepayan, which has been delayed for about 10 years, has finally started.
Sabah MCA Chief Lu Yen Tung the project, when completed, would see a reduction in flash floods in areas such as Lido and Teck Guan.
He said the project, which was supposed to start in 2013, had to be put on hold after the general election as MCA lost in Kepayan.
