KUALA LUMPUR – The government, through the Malaysian Indian Transformation Unit (Mitra), has launched the Uyarvu Madani Grant Programme, a new initiative offering grants of up to RM50,000 to strengthen Indian entrepreneurship and support business growth in Malaysia.

The programme is expected to benefit more than 700 Indian entrepreneurs nationwide, enabling them to expand their businesses, increase income and create more employment opportunities.

Human Resources Minister Datuk Seri R. Ramanan said the initiative reflects the government's continued commitment to building a stronger entrepreneurial ecosystem under the Madani Economy framework.

Ramanan said the grant is more than just financial assistance, describing it as a long-term mechanism to help businesses grow sustainably.

"The government wants to see more Indian entrepreneurs not only starting businesses but growing them into resilient and competitive enterprises capable of creating more job opportunities for the community," he said.
