Mixed Grill at Coliseum, a Coconut Ball Drink at BIG, and a Daim candy for dessert on the day MACC opened Pandora's papers.

It's Valentine's Day and Jakim reminded Muslims not to celebrate. But what do septuagenarians like us have to shout and scream about.

Nobody loves a septuagenarian except fellow septuagenarians. Old classmates showed up to check out our favourite steaks at 'The Coliseum'.

We were on the Damansara road to Petaling Jaya heading to the Coliseum when one old classmate with a walking stick hammered the driver's seat, "Hey, you are going the wrong way. Coliseum is on Batu Road!"

Another replied, "Relax, Pak Ya Coliseum on Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman closed a couple of years ago. It has been relocated to Petaling Jaya Plaza 33."

We were on Jalan Abu Bakar at the traffic light, "What happened to the round about?" There was no more round about. It's replaced by traffic lights. That's what happens when you are 70+ and you have early alzheimer's.

Anyway, we got to a replica of old Coliseum which was not to the liking of the late 70-something old and grumpy folks. We shared a mixed grilled platter. It wasn't bad but they told me they have tasted better mixed grilled elsewhere. I agreed.

We left disappointed. Next, we went to get a coconut drink to neutralise all the toxin from the beef.

At BIG, there's a guy who carves out the flesh of the coconut into a ball without spilling a drop.

He placed it in a plastic container and handed us a paper straw and we reluctantly poked a hole into it.

Man, it was sweet. The coconut was imported from the Philippines. No wonder it's sweet.

What about a candy for dessert then?

There's a pile of Daim candy on display by the cash register at the exit. Why not enjoy the taste of Marabou Daim from Sweden?

Pak Ya, 77 asked again "isn't this (pointing to Daim candy) owned by Daim?" Not quite Sir.

Just then Raja Petra Kamaruddin (RPK) came on air, you know what Daim was summoned by MACC because of the Pandora's papers.

On Valentine's Day, a day that Jakim told us not to celebrate we had mixed grill, drank coconut water and ate Daim candy and swore there was nobody nearby who declared "you are my valentine" or asked to "be my valentine!"

But Anwar managed to get a recluse to go to MACC the day before Valentine's to declare his innocence over accusations related to the Pandora's papers!

What an incredible Valentine's Day 2023!

A day only septuagenarians and their fellow beings can appreciate.
