LAHAD DATU: Gabungan Rakyat Sabah candidate for N.62 Silam, Datuk Mizma Appehdullah, is using her deep local roots to drive development in the area.

Mizma said growing up in Silam gave him insight into residents’ needs and challenges, and his long-standing community involvement, from youth programs to NGO activities, shapes his political approach.

“Being engaged in the community early on connects me with all layers of society,” she said, adding that listening to and understanding residents is key to effective leadership.

Mizma’s manifesto highlights addressing waste management, strengthening education, including a proposed religious secondary school, youth development programs, and promoting Silam’s tourism potential.

She emphasized that his inclusive and sustainable approach aims to improve overall community welfare.
