
SEMPORNA: The Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) foiled a fuel smuggling attempt off Pulau Bum Bum on Tuesday.
Four unregistered pump boats and petrol worth over RM10,000 were seized during the operation, said Semporna Maritime Zone Director Maritime Commander Amir Shubli.
The raid was carried out under Ops Pluto Timur, Ops Khas Cegah PATI, and Ops Tiris based on intelligence of smuggling activities in the area.

A total of 26 jerry cans of petrol were confiscated, with investigations underway under the Control of Supplies Act 1961.
