
BJP Yamunanagar MLA Ghanshyam Dass Arora said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre has established new dimensions of service, good governance, development and public welfare over the past 12 years.
Addressing mediapersons at the BJP office in Yamunanagar, he said that the development journey that began in 2014 has brought positive changes in the lives of millions of citizens across the country.
He said that under the Swachh Bharat Mission, more than 121.1 million individual household toilets have been constructed nationwide, and India has been declared ‘open defecation’ free.
“Through the Jal Jeevan Mission, tap water has been provided to more than 158.5 million households. Under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, 105.7 million women have been provided free LPG connections. More than 440 million Ayushman cards have been issued under the Ayushman Bharat scheme, and millions of citizens have benefited from quality healthcare. The number of medical colleges in the country has increased from 387 to 818, significantly expanding healthcare facilities,” MLA Arora said.
Highlighting achievements in the agricultural sector, the MLA said that under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi, direct financial assistance has been provided to 94.4 million farmer families. He added that the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, Kisan Credit Cards and increased minimum support prices have significantly benefited farmers, while both agricultural budgets and exports have seen substantial growth.
