The 2026 Academic Calendar for National Schools and Government Aided Schools will start from January 11 to December 31, 2026 for Group A states and January 12 to December 31, 2026 for Group B states, according to the Ministry of Education (MOE). Group A is for schools in the states of Kedah, Kelantan and Terengganu and Group B is for schools in the states of Johor, Melaka, Negeri Sembilan, Pahang, Perak, Perlis, Penang, Sabah, Sarawak, Selangor, the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, the Federal Territory of Labuan and the Federal Territory of Putrajaya.
