MoF sets non-subsidised RON95 petrol price at RM2.60 per litre as BUDI95 begins

THE Malaysian Government has fixed the retail price of non-subsidised RON95 petrol at RM2.60 per litre, coinciding with the commencement of the BUDI MADANI RON95 (BUDI95) programme, which offers subsidised RON95 petrol at RM1.99 per litre for eligible Malaysians starting 30 September 2025.

The Ministry of Finance, in a astement on Tuesday. said that retail petrol prices will be monitored closely and adjusted according to global oil market fluctuations to maintain price stability.

Under the Automatic Pricing Mechanism (APM), the retail prices for petroleum products from 30 September to 8 October 2025 have been determined.

The price of RON97 petrol remains unchanged at RM3.21 per litre.

Subsidised RON95 for eligible citizens under BUDI95 is set at RM1.99 per litre, while the subsidised price for the public land transport and land freight sectors under the Subsidised Petrol Control System (SKPS) is fixed at RM2.05 per litre.

Diesel prices remain steady at RM2.93 per litre in Peninsular Malaysia and RM2.15 per litre in Sabah, Sarawak, and Labuan.

The Government emphasised its commitment to monitoring global oil price trends and implementing appropriate measures to safeguard the welfare and well-being of the people. - September 29, 2025
