THE Ministry of Finance (MOF) has announced a modest rise in retail fuel prices, effective from 26 February to 4 March 2026, in response to rising global oil prices.

RON97 petrol will be sold at RM3.15 per litre, non-subsidised RON95 at RM2.59 per litre, and diesel in Peninsular Malaysia at RM3.04 per litre.

The Ministry emphasised that the government will continue to monitor global oil market fluctuations and adjust retail prices of RON97 petrol, non-subsidised RON95, and diesel as necessary, while prioritising price stability for the public.

Using the Automatic Pricing Mechanism (APM), the adjustments reflect a 5 sen per litre increase for RON97, non-subsidised RON95, and diesel in Peninsular Malaysia.

Subsidised RON95 under the BUDI95 programme will remain unchanged at RM1.99 per litre, as will diesel prices in Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan at RM2.15 per litre.

“The Government will continue monitoring global oil price trends and take appropriate measures to ensure people’s welfare remains intact,” stated the Ministry of Finance. - February 25, 2026
