PUTRAJAYA – The Ministry of Finance (MOF) has clarified that the 150-litre monthly Budi95 limit displayed to some users during a system maintenance exercise at 11 PM last night was caused by a technical error.

The ministry confirmed that the technical fault has since been fully resolved.

“The Budi95 monthly quota remains at 200 litres for eligible users, including for June 2026,” the MOF said in a statement today.

The ministry emphasized its ongoing commitment to ensuring a seamless and orderly rollout of the Budi95 initiative, keeping its focus on delivering subsidies directly to eligible recipients.

“Any confusion arising from the error is deeply regretted,” it said.

Budi95, formally known as the Budi Madani RON95 initiative, is the government’s targeted fuel subsidy programme designed to offer RON95 petrol at a fixed, subsidised rate of RM1.99 per litre. - June 1, 2026
