
Kota Kinabalu: SK Randagong Ranau student, Mohamad Alif Ikmal Danial Azawan and Fateeha Nasleen Suhailin from SK Luagan, Keningau emerged as best participants in the 2023 Sabah Zone Level Little Star Finals.
Danial, 12, wowed the judges by performing the song “Terus Hidup” sung by Aina Abdul and the second song entitled “Kau dan Aku” by the Kool band.
Meanwhile, Fateeha, 12, who is more affectionately called Kiki, belted out a song titled “Cerita Sang Suria” from Exist and the popular song Fantasia “Bulan Madu”.
Danial and Fateeha will advance to Berambeh, the Debaran National Final Competition, which will be held in Kuching, Sarawak on Sept 3, 2023.

While the other four finalists, namely Sham Badrin Embakri (Lahad Datu), Cherryn Jenson (Kota Marudu), Valley Dyana Yakob (Telupid) and Nur Aisyah Adleene Anuar (WP Labuan) each brought home consolation prizes amounting to RM500, certificates of participation, trophies and accompanying gifts.
The competition, organised by RTM Entertainment and Music Section, received a favourable response with the participation of 158 young talents from all over the State, including 25 people who submitted audition videos online.
Also present were RTM Director Salmah Hashim, General Manager of Sabah Telekom Berhad Datuk Sainal Mohd Amin, Deputy Director of Sabah Information Department Supian Musa and Deputy Director of Pupil Development Sector of Sabah State Education Department Muddin Beting.
