KOTA KINABALU: Not long after calling it quits from a six-month stint in Bersatu, Lahad Datu MP Datuk Mohamaddin Ketapi, Sunday, announced his entry into Parti Bangsa Malaysia (PBM) as the State Chief.
He said the Sarawak-based, Barisan Nasional-friendly party would work to empower Borneo in attaining their rights.
Calling the move “a new era of politics for Sabah”, the Segama Assemblyman said some 10,000 loyalists from Lahad Datu and Semporna will follow suit.
Meanwhile, PBM President, Datuk Larry Sng said two more Sabah MPs are expected to announce their allegiance soon and the party’s conference is scheduled in October.
“We will be contesting incumbent seats in the coming general elections,” he told a press conference.
