
Kota Kinabalu: A 44-year-old retired soldier was charged with committing physical sexual harassment against his niece.
The man pleaded not guilty before Sessions Court Judge Amir Shah Amir Hassan to two counts against him.
On the first count, the man is accused of committing the offence against the eight-year-old girl by licking her private part and fondling her breasts between 3am and 7am on Oct 6, 2019 at a room in Kinarut.
On the second count, he allegedly committed similar offence against the same girl by licking her private part, kissing her and fondling her breasts at the same place between Jan 2 and Jan 10, 2021 between 7pm and 12am.

Read more The court set Aug 28 for case management and released the man on bail of RM10,000 in two local sureties.
The man was also ordered to report to nearest police station first day of each month and his passport, if any, to be impounded by the court.
Earlier, Deputy Public Prosecutor Nurul Shafeerah Mad Iskim objected to bail. Counsel Azheir Farhan defended the man.
