
Kota Kinabalu: A 22-year-old man charged with committing physical sexual harassment against a female student, claimed that he was not sane during the alleged crime.
Al Shubi Yusuf informed Sessions Court Judge Amir Shah Amir Hassan, that he was just sniffing glue at that time and that he was not ‘waras’. (sane).
When asked by the court if anyone witnessed him sniffing glue Al Shubi said he was not sure.
He told the court about this when his case was brought up for trial but had been re-scheduled as to give away for old case.

Al Shubi is accused of committing the offence against the 14-year-old girl by hugging and kissing her cheeks.
The offence allegedly took place in front of a grocery shop in Kg Tanjong Aru Lama, here on Jan 12 this year.
He was charged under Section 14(a) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017 provides for a jail term of up to 20 years, and whipping, on conviction.
Pending the disposal of his case, Al Shubi was ordered remanded further.
Deputy Public Prosecutor Nurul Shafeerah Mad Iskim appeared for the prosecution while Al Shubi was not represented.
