  • A drugs gang with 230kg of cocaine onboard a dinghy ran aground on Gwynver Beach in Penzance, Cornwall.
  • Officers pursued the vessel for 28 miles after initially approaching it off the coast of Cornwall in September 2024.
  • The men attempted to flee on foot after their boat became stranded but were quickly apprehended by Border Force officers.
  • The individuals involved were identified as Peter Williams, 43, Scott Johnston, 38, and Edwin Yahir Tabora Baca, 33. They have now been jailed for 16 years, 24 years, and 17 years respectively.
