The monthly Sumbangan Asas Rahmah (SARA) cash aid has been credited into eligible recipients’ MyKad accounts starting today.

KUALA LUMPUR: The monthly Sumbangan Asas Rahmah (SARA) aid has been credited into the MyKad accounts of eligible recipients starting today.

The Ministry of Finance (MoF) said households receiving Sumbangan Tunai Rahmah (STR) would receive RM100 in monthly SARA aid, while senior citizens and single individuals would each receive RM50.

For recipients under both the STR and eKasih categories, the assistance credited is RM200 for households, RM150 for senior citizens, and RM100 for single individuals, it said in an X post.

It said 15 categories of goods had been approved for purchase using SARA, covering more than 140,000 essential items, including rice, eggs, bread, cooking oil, over-the-counter medicines, frozen food, canned food and school supplies.

SARA can be used at more than 14,700 selected supermarkets and grocery shops nationwide, it added.
