Monza goalkeeper Michele Di Gregorio was flattered by interest from Nottingham Forest, reports his agent.
De Gregorio was a target for Forest before he eventually signed a new deal with his Serie A club.
Agent Carlo Alberto Belloni said: "The flattery from the Premier League is nice but we have decided to renew with Monza, which is the right environment for him.
"Inter Milan? In the last transfer market, they never called us back."
