Kota Kinabalu: The Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor welcomed more films related to the history of Sabah and the formation of Malaysia.

He said a film like “Silence of the 177” which tells the story of survival and sacrifice in the events of the Jesselton uprising by Sabah’s prolific director, Marcellus Abas (Marc Abas) can expose the younger generation to the events that took place in 1943.

He said the production of films related to the history of Sabah, the formation of Malaysia and nationhood can highlight and uplift the history of the State and the country.
