More than 100 firefighters tackling blaze at recycling centre in Bermondsey

• More than 100 firefighters and 15 fire engines responded to a major blaze at a recycling centre in Bermondsey, southeast London, on Monday afternoon.
• The London Fire Brigade deployed two 32-metre turntable ladders to tackle the fire, which was reported just after 5:30 PM on Landmann Way.
• Locals were advised to avoid the area and keep windows and doors closed due to large plumes of smoke billowing from the site.
• Southeastern Rail services were disrupted, with trains diverted, no services to or from Charing Cross, and delays affecting Cannon Street.
• Southwark Council also advised residents in the area to keep their windows and doors closed for safety.
