More than 400 firms join Korea farm machine trade show

APPROXIMATELY 430 companies from 25 countries participated in the 2026 Korea International Exhibition of Machinery, Equipment, Science and Technology for Agriculture (Kiemsta 2026) that was held from Nov. 4 to 7 at EXCO in Daegu, South Korea.

The number of companies translated to around 2,100 units of various agricultural machines showcased during the four-day trade show. A total area of 36,230 square meters of EXCO was devoted to Kiemsta 2026.

South Korea’s Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (Mafra) is the lead organizer of the event. The co-organizers are the Korea Agricultural Machinery Industry Cooperative (Kamico), Daegu Metropolitan City administration, and The Farmers Newspaper.

Kamico Chairman Kim Shin-gil said the trade show also provided an opportunity for South Korean farm machine and technology firms the opportunity to showcase their products globally.

“Advances in cutting-edge technologies such as AI (artificial intelligence), robotics and autonomous driving are rapidly transforming agriculture and the agricultural machinery and equipment industry,” he said.

“We hope this exhibition will provide an opportunity to showcase the technological excellence of Korean agricultural machinery and equipment to the world, while allowing farmers to experience firsthand the future of agriculture,” Shin-gil added.

Kiemsta 2026 already established itself as one of Korea's leading professional exhibitions for agricultural machinery and equipment, providing insights into technological developments and market trends in the industry.

It also aims to facilitate the exchange of information and business opportunities among farmers, manufacturers and international buyers, while strengthening the competitiveness of the agricultural machinery industry and promoting exports.

First launched in 1992, Kiemsta celebrated its 17th edition this year. After being held at COEX in Seoul and in Cheonan, Chungcheongnam-do, the exhibition has been hosted at EXCO in Daegu since 2022.

Kamico, the co-organizer of Kiemsta 2026, was established in 1962 through the cooperation of South Korea's agricultural machinery and equipment manufacturers, with the purpose of contributing to the development of the country's agricultural equipment industry.
