
A Ukrainian drone attack on an apartment block in Yegoryevsk some 100 kilometres south-east of Moscow has claimed the life of a six-month-old baby, Moscow regional governor Andrey Vorobyov reported on Tuesday.
Vorobyov said the baby had died on the way to hospital.
He reported that 60 drones had been downed or rendered harmless by electronic means around Moscow, and that an administrative building in Dubna, some 120 kilometres north-east of Moscow had been damaged.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky posted on social media that the satellite communications centre in Dubna had been hit.
Zelensky said the centre supported Russian forces in Ukraine with reconnaissance and coordination. Ukrainian forces attacked the centre a week ago.
A woman died when drone fragments fell on an apartment block in Tver near Dubna, the authorities reported.
A refinery in the Moscow region was hit and set alight in a Ukrainian drone attack on June 18.
The Russian Defence Ministry reported intercepting 419 Ukrainian drones overnight. A man died, and four others were injured in the Belgorod region on the border with Ukraine.
Ukrainian authorities reported intercepting 138 of 154 Russian drone attacks overnight.
Ukraine has been warding off a full-scale Russian invasion since February 2022. In recent months, Ukrainian forces have been using long-range drones to attack Russian targets.
