- Kellogg’s Rice Krispies and General Mills’ Cheerios both ranked as the most popular in five states each, with other cereals like Trix, Cocoa Puffs, and Cinnamon Toast Crunch also featuring prominently.
- Despite these preferences, breakfast cereal sales have seen a significant decline, dropping by over 13 per cent between July 2021 and July 2025, largely due to concerns over high sugar content and food processing.
- In response to consumer concerns about artificial ingredients, major cereal companies such as Kellogg and General Mills have pledged to remove artificial dyes from all their products by the end of 2027.
