Police received a report on Sept 26 alleging a motivational speaker sexually harassed a child. The case is investigated under the Sexual Offences Against Children Act.

KANGAR: A motivational speaker has been remanded for two days from today to assist police in their investigations into the alleged sexual harassment of a child.

Padang Besar district police chief ACP Mohd Shokri Abdullah confirmed the matter when contacted by Bernama today.

The media reported yesterday that police had received a report on Sept 26 concerning an allegation of sexual harassment involving a child by a motivational speaker.

Perlis police chief DCP Hamzah Hashim was quoted as saying that the case was being investigated under Section 12 of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017.

He also urged other victims who may have had contact with the motivational speaker to come forward and lodge police reports.
