
KENINGAU: A motorcyclist died at the scene while his pillion rider was seriously injured after their motorcycle collided with a Nissan Trooper at Barasanon Hill, Keningau-Sook road here, last Saturday.
The body of the victim, a foreign national in his 20s, was handed over to the police for further action, while his 21-year-old pillion rider, also a foreigner, was given initial treatment and sent to Keningau hospital for further treatment.
Meanwhile, the driver of the Nissan Trooper and his three passengers, who are also foreigners between the ages of 31 and 43, only suffered minor injuries and were given initial treatment by the EMRS team.
The District Fire and Rescue Station received a call at 11.50pm and a total of 10 members led by Operation Commander, Leong Hoi Min, rushed to the scene.
